jogja trip.
its been a really long time since i open my tumblr.. even i forgot which blog server i use :p
currently im in surabaya, jobless and travelling around indo. I just got back from jogja this very early morning. Jogja is improved alot, I cant imagine how it will be in the next 5 years :D The art scene is alive, there are many art exhibition at every corner of the city. The most memorable and inspiring one is Agus Suwage’s “Still Crazy After All These Years”.. it has been a long time since i saw a really inspiring superb exhibition. When i stepped into the exhibition venue, the atmosphere was different. Agus Suwage put alot of effort and time for his solo exhibition, i can feel it :D
There are 3 levels where you can find so many installation and paintings. It is not only art that we can see in book or website, we should try it. Because most of all installations are inspiring, we can interact with them. When we press the button, it will move. Sometimes some of them are using light and shadow to show the meaning of the installation.
the only one small thing that i could buy from suwage’s exhibition is his
catalogue. It is well-layout with nice typography, good explanation and really nice printing.
go there if you have time, or just google it if you cant drop by.. but i guarantee that its worthed one :D And, the foods are awesome! nothings disappointed me!
